I’ve known Kelly for about half her life. I can’t remember exactly how long, to be honest, but somewhere around eight years seems right. She will be graduating a year early so she is one of the youngest Seniors I will ever shoot.
I made photos of Kelly when I first started getting back into photography. She was my main model during my amateur to professional transition. Then she became my assistant during my first year of professional shooting. She learned a lot about light, composition, cameras and everything else photography during that time frame. I actually created a monster, I think. She is harder on other photographers than I am. If you ever want a dead honest critique, she will give it to you and not blink an eye.

In her defense, she is a good photographer in her own right. She would never admit to it, but she is one of the best photographers in town, in my opinion. There have been a few times that she has shot with me during a session and her shots have sold very well. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have much interest in being a photographer. Then again, maybe it’s a good thing…I don’t want to have to be her assistant in ten years!!
We are going all-out for Kelly’s Senior photos this year. These are from the first of a few different shoots that have been planned so far.
